Max Rosado is an award-winning professional singer, vocalist born and raised in Puerto Rico, currently living in Maryland who has worked and recorded vocals for and with many artists in Puerto Rico, USA, Mexico, Panama and other countries. Rosado’s has worked with artists like Luisito Carrión, Jerry Rivera, Rey Ruiz, Ismael Miranda, Jose Alberto el Canario and emerging artists like Daniela Darcourt, Josimar, Wilito Otero among many other artists. With more than 15 years as a professional singer, Rosado has been honored to perform in venues all around Puerto Rico and U.S.A and in events like PR Heineken Jazzfest, Dia Nacional de la Zalsa, World Salsa Congress to name a few. He recently was the recipient of the ‘Best Vocalist’ award at the Intercontinental Music Awards this past July 2022. Influenced by artists like Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars and Luis Fonsi, Rosado is currently working on his first solo album to be released in late 2023.
The 7th St. Band, a DMV(DC, Maryland, Virginia) – award-winning based band, has more than 25 years of experience working, recording and performing with different artists in several music genres like salsa, merengue, jazz, top 40 and more. This band will be able to satisfy the music tastes of all types of crowds.

He has performed in prestigious venues around Puerto Rico and the US and has been featured in notable events such as the PR Heineken Jazzfest, Dia Nacional de la Zalsa, and World Salsa Congress. Max’s musical style is influenced by greats such as Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, and Luis Fonsi. With his outstanding vocal talent and passion for music, Max is currently working on his first solo album, set to be released in late 2023. Max Rosado is a true artist with a deep love for music and a voice that captivates audiences of all kinds.
The History and Development of the Latin Music
Max Rosado and the 7th St. Band have a deep connection to the rhythms of Batucada and Salsa, which are both rooted in Afro-Latin music.
Batucada is a percussive style of music that originated in Brazil, primarily during Carnival celebrations. It features a wide variety of drums and other percussion instruments, including surdos, repiniques, caixas, and tamborims. The rhythms of Batucada are fast and lively, making it perfect for dancing and energizing the crowd. Max Rosado’s experience with Latin music, including Salsa and Merengue, has allowed him to incorporate elements of Batucada into his performances.
Salsa, on the other hand, originated in the Caribbean, primarily in Cuba, and is a combination of various Latin American musical styles. Salsa features a range of instruments such as the trumpet, trombone, conga, bongos, and bass guitar. The rhythm of salsa is usually in a 4/4 time signature, and it’s characterized by complex rhythms, syncopation, and percussive elements. Salsa music is known for its energetic dance style, and it’s often associated with Latin American culture.
